A devastating fire swept through the Anuradha Railway Colony in Bamunimaidam, Guwahati, late Monday night, leaving widespread destruction in its wake and forcing dozens of families out of their homes. The incident, which unfolded rapidly, caused panic in the densely populated locality as flames engulfed rows of houses within a short span of time.
Preliminary reports suggest that the fire may have been triggered by the explosion of a domestic LPG cylinder inside one of the houses.
