New Delhi — London-based tech disruptor Nothing is making waves once again with the upcoming release of its latest smartphone, the Nothing Phone 3, scheduled to launch in India on July 1, 2025. Positioned squarely in the fiercely competitive mid-range segment, the Phone 3 promises to deliver a potent mix of refined hardware, software elegance, and a design language that continues to defy industry norms.
After months of speculation, leaks, and teaser videos on social media, Nothing finally confirmed the India launch date via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday, calling the Phone 3 “our most balanced creation yet.”

Mid-Range Muscle, Premium Finish
The Phone 3 is expected to ship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, offering flagship-like performance at a mid-tier price. Benchmarks suggest notable improvements in AI-powered photography, battery optimization, and gaming performance over its predecessor, the Phone 2.
The device will also feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and slimmer bezels—geared to elevate both content consumption and mobile gaming.
Perhaps the most eye-catching element remains the Glyph Interface 2.0, which returns with even more programmable LED zones on the back. In typical Nothing fashion, it serves both aesthetic and functional purposes, offering real-time app indicators, caller IDs, and notification cues—all while keeping your screen off.
Smarter Cameras, Not Just Bigger Numbers
In an era where megapixels alone no longer tell the full story, Nothing is focusing on software-powered photography. The Phone 3 will reportedly feature a dual rear camera setup—a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. Night mode, motion tracking, and live HDR enhancements are powered by the new “Nothing Neural Engine,” aiming to bring DSLR-style quality into a compact smartphone shell.

AI at the Core
In a bold move aligning with industry trends, Nothing Phone 3 integrates on-device AI features. These include AI-based summarization for chats and calls, real-time translation during video calls, and an AI wallpaper generator that responds to mood and weather conditions.
Unlike some brands that rely heavily on cloud services, Nothing emphasizes local AI processing for faster and more private user experiences.
Battery & Charging
The device is powered by a 4,700 mAh battery with 45W fast wired charging and 15W wireless support. Thanks to software improvements in Nothing OS 3.0—which will debut with this device—the phone promises up to two full days of moderate use on a single charge.
Price That Hits the Sweet Spot
While official pricing will be revealed on launch day, industry insiders suggest the Phone 3 will start at around ₹39,999 for the base variant, with higher-end models crossing the ₹45,000 mark. This pricing places it head-to-head with popular players like the OnePlus Nord 4, Samsung Galaxy A55, and iQOO Neo 9 Pro.
But Carl Pei, co-founder and CEO of Nothing, seems unfazed.
“We’re not trying to win spec wars—we’re building experiences,” Pei said during a pre-launch interview. “Phone 3 isn’t just a product. It’s a conversation starter, a design statement, and a power tool—wrapped in one.”
Made for India, Launched from India
India continues to be a major market for Nothing. The Phone 3 will be manufactured locally under the Make in India initiative, and the launch event is set to take place in Bengaluru—marking the first global debut of a Nothing device outside of London.
Additionally, early buyers in India will have access to exclusive pre-order bundles via Flipkart, including limited-edition accessories and Nothing’s new CMF audio gear.
Final Word
With smartphone fatigue setting in for many consumers, the Nothing Phone 3 arrives at a time when design, transparency, and usability matter more than raw numbers. If Nothing delivers on its promise of performance, polish, and a pinch of playfulness, it may just solidify its place as India’s mid-range king—or perhaps, something even more.
Mark your calendars: July 1st could be the day India meets its most distinct smartphone yet.
