KARAM Safety, a global leader in personal protective equipment (PPE) and fall protection solutions, marked National Safety Month with a comprehensive series of on-ground initiatives aimed at enhancing safety awareness across industrial and public spaces. Expanding beyond the conventional National Safety Week, the company extended its efforts into a month-long programme to broaden outreach and encourage lasting behavioural change.

As part of the initiative, KARAM Safety collaborated with leading industry organisations such as SMS Group, Ashok Leyland, and Tata Group, conducting on-site product training sessions at multiple locations, including manufacturing plants, factories, and construction sites. These sessions emphasised hands-on demonstrations, enabling workers to better understand the correct usage and practical application of PPE in real-world scenarios. By engaging directly at operational sites, the company successfully reached a wide workforce and reinforced the importance of workplace safety.

Commenting on the initiative, Hemant Sapra, President – Global Sales and Marketing, KARAM Safety, said, “At KARAM Safety, we view safety not just as compliance, but as an ongoing commitment that must be integrated into everyday behaviour. Through National Safety Month, we sought to extend this conversation beyond workplaces and actively involve communities. Our continued focus is on encouraging, engaging, and educating individuals to adopt safer practices in all aspects of life.”

In addition to its industrial outreach, KARAM Safety worked with its regional sales offices to extend the campaign into public spaces. Canopy stalls were set up in high-footfall marketplaces, where teams interacted directly with visitors to promote safety awareness and share guidance on everyday safety practices. The initiative received an encouraging response, with strong participation from both industrial workers and the general public.

The month-long observance also included the inauguration of the 55th National Safety Week under the theme “Encourage, Engage, and Educate.” The programme commenced with the National Safety Council flag hoisting across manufacturing facilities nationwide, followed by a keynote safety address that highlighted progress in incident reduction and underscored the importance of near-miss reporting in achieving the organisation’s ‘Zero Harm’ goal across all plant locations.

Additionally, a range of internal engagement activities was organised to drive employee participation and strengthen a shared sense of responsibility towards safety.

Through this extended initiative, KARAM Safety reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a strong safety culture across industries and communities, ensuring that awareness and education translate into safer environments for all.
