Bengaluru, April 23, 2026 — The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has officially declared the SSLC (Class 10) Examination-1 results for 2026, marking a crucial academic milestone for lakhs of students across the state. The results were announced around midday, with students able to access their scorecards through multiple official and alternative platforms.

Results Released on Official Portals

Students who appeared for the examinations held between March 18 and April 2, 2026, can check their results on the official portals — kseab.karnataka.gov.in and karresults.nic.in — by entering their registration number and date of birth. The online marksheet includes subject-wise scores, total marks, grades, and qualifying status.

The SSLC examination remains one of the most significant academic checkpoints in Karnataka, determining eligibility for higher secondary education streams.

Website Slowdowns Reported Amid Heavy Traffic

Shortly after the announcement, many students reported difficulty accessing the official websites due to high traffic volumes. Such slowdowns are common during major board result releases, as lakhs of users attempt to log in simultaneously.

Authorities had anticipated this surge and advised students to remain patient or use alternative platforms to avoid delays.

DigiLocker Emerges as a Reliable Alternative

To ensure seamless access, KSEAB has made the digital marksheets available via the government-backed DigiLocker platform. Students can log in using Aadhaar-linked credentials and download their SSLC marks memo, which is considered legally valid for admissions and official purposes.

The DigiLocker option has gained increasing importance in recent years, offering secure, paperless access to academic documents and reducing dependency on physical mark sheets.

How to Check Results via DigiLocker

Students can retrieve their marksheets on DigiLocker by searching for “Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board” and selecting the Class 10 marks memo option. After entering their registration number and other required details, the document can be viewed and downloaded instantly.

SMS Facility Provides Quick Access

For those facing persistent connectivity issues, KSEAB has also enabled an SMS-based result service. Students can send a message in the format:

KAR10 <Registration Number>
to 56263

They will receive their result details directly on their mobile phones, making it a practical option in low-internet or high-traffic situations.

Multiple Channels Ensure Accessibility

In addition to official websites, results are also accessible through DigiLocker, SMS services, and mobile applications such as Karnataka One, ensuring that students across different regions and connectivity conditions can access their scores without disruption.

What Students Should Know

Education experts advise students to treat the online marksheet as provisional and collect the original certificate from their respective schools at a later stage. The digital version, however, is valid for immediate use in admissions and documentation processes.

A Critical Academic Transition

With over 8 lakh students appearing for the SSLC exams this year, the declaration of results sets the stage for the next phase of academic planning. Students will now move on to selecting streams such as science, commerce, or arts for higher secondary education.

As the initial rush stabilizes and website performance improves, students are expected to gain smoother access to their results. Meanwhile, authorities continue to emphasize the availability of multiple verified channels to ensure that no student is left behind due to technical issues.
